| WABCO sponsors the Austria-based truck race team of Egon Allgäuer, runner-up in the 2004 European Championship. Egon Allgäuer regards reliable braking control technology as one of the critical factors for his success on the racetrack. We provide the race team with standard brake products and technical know-how. We do not provide stability control products as race trucks are modified and have a higher center of gravity and balance than standard truck cabins. Click here for more details. |

| >> How are you related to SAB WABCO? |
| We have a shared history, having originally descended from the Westinghouse Air Brake Company originally founded by George Westinghouse in 1869. That company developed two main areas of braking expertise. WABCO is the commercial vehicle (truck, trailer, bus) brake technology business, now owned by American Standard. The railroad vehicle brake technology business is SAB WABCO and is now an independent and unrelated company.

| >> How do you test your products? |
| The majority of WABCO systems are today contain advanced software. Each must be specially configured for every new vehicle range. Continuous trials in every single phase of the product development – from the first prototype to the start of production – are indispensable in order to verify scientific data. Since the 1970s a key element of WABCO's development work has taken place on test tracks. Fifteen years ago WABCO moved from tests at rented facilities to investing in its privately owned test tracks. Today WABCO is the only commercial vehicle supplier to privately operate three test tracks. They are Jeversen near Hanover (Germany), in Finnish at the Arctic Circle and in southeast India near Chennai.
