Developed using leading-edge bionic design methods, WABCO introduces one of the lightest air disc brakes, the new generation Air Disc Brake. New generation EBS (Electronic Braking System) is offered in two versions, EBS Evolution and EBS Compact. VCS II (second generation Vario Compact ABS for trailers), a compact and easy-to-install modular system is launched. Both EBS and VCS II represent mechatronic breakthroughs. Air System Protector, WABCO's innovative air dryer cartridge with integrated coalescing filter is introduced to increase the service life of air and braking system components. IVTM (Integrated Vehicle Tire Monitoring system) becomes available to the aftermarket. | |

WABCO introduces intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) for commercial vehicles, which assists drivers by automatically monitoring traffic, sensing distance and initiating brake activation in potentially dangerous situations. Electronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS) is additionally offered as an application for passenger cars, SUVs and light commercial vehicles. As an extension to EBS, WABCO launches commercial vehicle Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
