About our Code of Conduct

"We owe it to a lot of people to succeed. And we will…What guides us are rigor and discipline, typical of successful global public corporations,” said Jacques Esculier, chief executive officer of WABCO.

WABCO has a Code of Conduct and Ethics policy that sets high standards of integrity with which all employees are expected to comply. The code applies to everyone at WABCO, including officers of the company and members of the Board of Directors.

The standards set forth in the code are mandatory for all employees and to ensure they understand what is expected of them, the code has been translated into many languages.

Managers and others in positions of responsibility must acknowledge that they understand the requirements of the code and abide by them. Employees who violate the code will be subject to disciplinary actions including termination of employment.

The WABCO Code of Conduct has five foundations:

• Our Personal Responsibilities
• Our Workplace Responsibilities
• Our Marketplace Responsibilities
• Our Global Responsibilities, and
• Our Resources for complying with the code of conduct and ethics

While the guidelines cover many areas of conduct, several principles are paramount:

  • We treat people inside and outside the company with fairness, dignity and respect.
  • We report facts, especially corporate financial facts, honestly and openly. We cannot tolerate any creation of false or fraudulent documents.
  • Ignorance of our standards is no excuse for violating them. If we have doubts, we have the personal responsibility to raise questions and get answers.
  • WABCO expects employees to live up to these principles and other elements of the code. The company also expects similar conduct from suppliers and contracted service providers.
