The NG22MAX is WABCO´s new Air Disc Brake for heavy duty truck and bus applications. It comes with a new designed monobloc caliper and a new reinforced single-piston clamping unit, which enables high brake torques of over 30.000 Nm.
NG22MAX has an impressively low weight of only 39kg including pads, which protects the chassis and reduces the fuel consumption, substantially enhancing transportation effectiveness and road safety. By using a continuous wear sensor (CWS), which WABCO offers with this brake, service costs are reduced even further. This sensor can be exchanged without disassembly of the brake and any additional set-up work. It measures the wear of both pads and the disc continuously.
