An empty multi-axle trailer does not need all its wheels on the ground while driving. Lift Axle Control will automatically lift axles if they are not needed to carry the cargo.
What does it do?
Lift Axle Control will automatically lift or lower the first trailer axle, depending on the trailer’s load
Lift Axle Control works with lift axles as well as tag axles
How does it work?
Sensors measure the pressure in the air bellows and send the data to the Trailer EBS
The Trailer EBS calculates the load on the axle bogey with 99.9% accuracy
If the axle load is below a “low” pre-programmed level, Lift Axle Control automatically lifts the trailer’s first axle
A lift axle will be fully lifted
A tag axle will be discharged by emptying the air bellows and it will be lifted from the ground depending on the trailer’s construction
If the axle load increases above a “high” pre-programmed level, Lift Axle Control automatically lowers the lift axle to the ground
Lift Axle Control automatically respects the legally permitted maximum weight per axle
Why do you want it?
Reduces tire wear when the trailer is not fully loaded
Helps save approximately 0.5 to 1 liter of fuel per 100km
