
Business Unit Purchasing Leader
Main responsibilities:
- Ensure alignment of actions from Project Buyers and Value Stream Buyers with sourcing strategies agreed with BU’s (‘from commodities to product lines”)
- Obtain support & guidance from relevant Commodity Business Leaders (or Segment Business Leaders) when needed by Project Buyers or Value Stream Buyers (escalated issues, project roadblocks,…)
- Monitor performance of “productivity improvement projects” by Value Stream and, in a consolidated view, for the entire Business Unit
- Monitor New Parts Introduction projects from the Sourcing & Purchasing perspective (timely realization, achievement of target costs and productivity initiatives)
- Provide immediate technical support to Project Buyers and Value Stream Buyers
- Escalate to Commodity Business Leaders, Commodity Supplier Development Leaders or Supplier response teams selected quality issues that cannot be solved by operations
- Ensure staffing and evaluation of Project Buyers and Value Stream Buyers
Profile:
- Experience in all aspects of sourcing and purchasing in a leadership role (min. 5 years)
- Experience in a matrix environment
- Exposure to 6 Sigma-Lean Environment or certified belt
- Fluent in English and one other European language (German, French, Polish) is preferred
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in teams and handle complex projects
- Able to drive change
