
Director – International Taxation
Main responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing the group tax policies
- Participate in evaluating the group’s current and proposed activities, policies, business practices and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations
- Advise management on tax matters and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the organization
- Assist in developing tax policies to minimize the group’s tax liabilities
- Analyze the consequences of new tax regulations on the group and recommend actions to management
- Provide assistance in tax audits and disputes
- Assist in managing relationships with external consultants and advisors to ensure the group receives satisfactory standards of service
- Review the group’s VAT processes and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Monitor the cash flow implications of corporate tax and VAT payments
Profile:
- University degree
- Minimum 12 years experience with multinational corporation and Big Four Firm
- Fluency in English is a must, other European languages are an important asset
- Strong international tax background including experience in cross-border and local country structuring and transactions, M&A, transfer pricing, supply chain structures, VAT and tax related financing
- Knowledge of US GAAP and US international tax principles, (in particular FAS109 and FIN48) is an important plus
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to educate the leadership concerning critical tax/business issues
- Strong negotiation skills coupled with sound judgment and maturity
- Problem solver with outstanding communication skills and ability to perform effectively in an environment of constant change and growth
- Flexible and adaptable and able to work effectively in a team environment
