ROVANIEMI TEST TRACK AT THE ARCTIC CIRCLE IN FINLAND
WABCO opened its test track located at Rovaniemi, Finland in 1988.
The winter test program at Rovaniemi involves extreme conditions such as icy, snow-covered roads and subfreezing temperatures. The test track features a modern workshop with four lanes as well as a closed area for confidential evaluation of customer prototype trucks and buses.
In the company’s most recent winter test cycle, WABCO engineers and technicians logged approximately 1,300 person-days conducting tests. This activity included testing of 25 WABCO-owned vehicles as well as joint testing of trucks and buses from leading commercial vehicle manufacturers.
