Ever drive on the highway at high speed and suddenly you were surprised by a trailer that was almost standing still right in front of you? You did not see its brake lights go on! You could barely avoid an accident! Emergency Brake Alert will flash the trailer’s stop lights during hard braking to warn trailing drivers.
What does it do?
When the trailer brakes heavily, Emergency Brake Alert will flash the trailer’s stop lights or activate an additional third light, similar to a car’s third stop light.
How does it work?
Emergency Brake Alert constantly monitors the trailer’s speed, its deceleration during braking and the ABS function.
Emergency Brake Alert sends a power signal to the normal stop lights or to a third stop light when the speed is more than 50 km/h and the trailer brakes heavily (deceleration exceeds 4m/s²) or when the trailer’s ABS function intervenes during braking
The stop lights are activated as long as the deceleration exceeds 4m/s² or as long as the trailer ABS is intervening
Why do you want it?
Warn trailing drivers to reduce the risk of rear-end collisions
Reduce the risk of accidents and injuring people
