Course offerings linked to technology evolution
At WABCO our responsibility and expertise doesn't end with the delivery of a product. Our commitment is to support the systems and components that we develop and supply throughout the entire life cycle of a vehicle. The transfer of skills and knowledge to employees of repair centers, who regularly perform installation and maintenance work on our braking and control systems, is part of this commitment to our customers. Even the best system cannot continuously live up to performance expectations if it is not maintained by skilled specialists.

WABCO's training programs covers the installation, diagnosis, and maintenance of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and air braking systems, as well as electronically controlled braking and driving dynamics control systems developed and manufactured by WABCO. Included are systems such as EBS (Electronic Braking System), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and RSS (Roll Stability Support), which prevent heavy trucks, trailers, and buses from rolling over and skidding, as well as ECAS (Electronically Controlled Air Suspension) and electronic temperature and door control systems for buses. In addition to these systems-related courses, WABCO's Hanover center is authorized to conduct SP-Lehrgänge ("safety inspection courses") whose completion is a mandatory requirement for German specialists performing Sicherheitsprüfungen ("safety inspections") on commercial vehicles. In 1998, the German parliament regulated special safety inspections in addition to regular maintenance inspections which must be performed by specially trained staff. WABCO offers driver safety trainings for truck driver on test tracks in a number of countries. These test tracks provide a range of road surfaces on which experienced trainers help drivers strengthen their knowledge and confidence in handling the capabilities and limitations of their vehicles. So raise your own driving safety and also that of your employees and spend an interesting day on the test tracks with much pleasure and a lot of new experience for you. In addition to locally acquired system expertise, all WABCO staff at the 30 office and production facilities worldwide receive specialist training at WABCO's Hanover training center and test track.
