WABCO INDIA Inaugurates its Second World-Class Manufacturing Facility at Mahindra World City in Chennai; Company Operates Four Sites in India

Chennai, 5^th September, 2012: WABCO INDIA, a technology leader and tier-one supplier to the global commercial vehicle industry, today inaugurated its Plant 2 at Mahindra World City in Chennai, which was completed through the company’s investment of over Rs.50 Crores. WABCO INDIA owns and operates four world-class manufacturing sites located in India.

WABCO’s Plant 2 at Mahindra World City will manufacture leading technologies and innovative products to supply commercial vehicle manufacturers in Germany, Japan, Poland, and the United States, amongst other markets internationally. The new 2,272-square meter plant will employ 160 people, including 30 engineers.

WABCO INDIA’s Plant 2 was formally inaugurated by Mr. Jacques Esculier, WABCO Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Leon Liu, WABCO President, Asia.
