			<description><![CDATA[<p>The multi-functional APU (Air Processing Unit) combines several individual units. It includes an air dryer with or without a heater, a safety valve and a tire inflation connector. A multiple-circuit protection unit with one or two integrated pressure limited valves and two integrated check valves is flanged onto the air dryer. Some variants also have a double pressure sensor attached to the multiple-circuit protection valve for picking up the supply pressures of the service braking circuits. RSS is a function integrated in the software and hardware of the EBS modulator. The system assesses the vehicle data such as wheel speed, load information and by means of an integrated sensor, transverse acceleration data. By analyzing this data quickly and effectively, the vehicle ECU detects the chances of vehicle roll-over and automatically applies the brakes. 			<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>ATC in trucks</strong> <br />When traveling long distances, it used to be necessary to continuously re-adjust the manual heating in the driver's cabin in order to achieve an agreeable temperature. WABCO's electronic Automatic Temperature Control (ATC) system regulates the temperature in line with a characteristic curve designed to reflect the human sense of comfort. When outside temperatures are low, a slightly higher temperature is generated in the cabin without the driver's intervention. On warm day, ATC provides for an increased throughput. When temperatures are low, it ensures that the driver's cabin heats up quickly and the windscreen is de-iced rapidly. In the first case, the volume of air is regulated continuously, while in the second case the water flow is controlled. This regulation also takes place if the vehicle is fitted with an additional air conditioning unit. Furthermore, ATC allows the driver to switch off the automatic mode and regulate the speed of the fan manually.</p>]]></description>
