With Finisher Brake, a trailer tipper will automatically be “glued” to the Road Finisher while dumping its asphalt into the finisher’s container.
What does it do?
Finisher Brake keeps the tipper and asphalt finisher machine together by slightly braking the tipper
How does it work?
A sensor on the trailer chassis detects when the tipper is being lifted and it sends a signal to the trailer EBS
The trailer EBS starts to slightly brake the tipper with a brake pressure of 0.3 bar
The driver can increase the Finisher Brake pressure with the Trailer Remote Control or on the SmartBoard, depending on the slope of the road, the cargo load and the speed of the finisher
When the tipper is lowered and touches the sensor on the trailer chassis, the Finisher Brake function is automatically de-activated
Why do you want it?
Avoid spilling asphalt during unloading on a downhill road
Automatic braking allows the driver to focus attention on the area in front of the truck
