Prince Leopold of Bavaria, who started as guest driver for Team Allgäuer, said: “It is fascinating to see and to feel how these giant trucks perform in racing conditions compared to cars. In a five ton race truck, the brakes are even more decisive and it is amazing how efficient the brakes really are.” WABCO supports Team Allgäuer with technical know-how and latest braking technology including the Air Disc Brake NG 22 or the Tristop Cylinder. The NG 22 plus, WABCO’s advanced air disc brake for heavy class trucks, saves weight and money. A simplified design allows for fewer parts, which in turn means less maintenance and weight thus improving payload and operating costs. The WABCO Tristop Cylinder range is one of the most successful and reliable piston-type spring brake ranges on the market. It is easy to install and suitable for all standard foundation brakes. To increase service comfort and extend durability, its integrated internal breathing valve (IBV) ensures that only dry and clean air is used in the spring room of the parking brake.
