Gerd Körber Celebrates Podium Position on First Day of European Truck Championship Race in Le Mans, France

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – 10 SEPTEMBER 2007 – Truck Race Team Allgäuer top-driver Gerd Körber ranked third on the first day of the EuropeanTruck Championship in Le Mans on Saturday September 9. In the first qualification race, Körber finished seventh, two positions behind team captain Egon Allgäuer.

On the second day in Le Mans, Körber faced some tire problems in the qualification race and was unable to finish.  Allgäuer ranked sixth in the qualification race and eighth in the Cup race with Körber finishing ahead of him in sixth position.

With these results, WABCO sponsored Team Allgäuer consolidated its second position in the team championship. Körber and Allgäuer now rank fifth and sixth respectively in the FIA driver championship.

The next European Truck Racing Championship event will take place in Misano, Italy, from September 22-23.
