Gerd Körber Steps up to the Podium for the 8th Time in the 2007 European Truck Racing Championship

Körber takes third position in the first cup race in Misano, Italy. Hans-Joachim Stuck starts as guest driver for WABCO-sponsored Team Allgäuer

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – 24 SEPTEMBER 2007 – Under perfect weather conditions for racing, Team Allgäuer top-driver Gerd Körber finished third in the first cup race of the European Truck Championship in Misano, Italy, on Saturday. It was his eighth podium position in the 2007 season.

With these results, WABCO sponsored Team Allgäuer retained its second position in the team championship. Körber and Allgäuer still rank fifth and sixth respectively in the FIA driver championship.

For the second time this year, Hans-Joachim Stuck started as guest driver on a Team Allgäuer race truck at Autodromo di Santamonica in Misano. Building on 40 years of experience in car racing, Stuck finished all four races of the weekend at tenth or eleventh positions, outpacing several truck racing specialists.

1st qualification race (Saturday): 
- Gerd Körber 5th, Egon Allgäuer 9th, Hans-Joachim Stuck 10th, Joseph Adua 15th

1st cup race (Saturday): 
- Gerd Körber 3th, Egon Allgäuer 9th, Hans-Joachim Stuck 11th, Joseph Adua14th

2nd qualification race (Sunday): 
- Gerd Körber 4th, Egon Allgäuer 9th, Hans-Joachim Stuck 11th, Joseph Adua 12th

2nd cup race (Sunday): 
- Gerd Körber 6th, Egon Allgäuer 7th, Hans-Joachim Stuck 11th

The final truck racing weekend of the 2007 championship season will be in Jarama, Spain, from October 6-7.
