BRUSSELS, BELGIUM – 24 SEPTEMBER 2007 – Under perfect weather conditions for racing, Team Allgäuer top-driver Gerd Körber finished third in the first cup race of the European Truck Championship in Misano, Italy, on Saturday. It was his eighth podium position in the 2007 season. With these results, WABCO sponsored Team Allgäuer retained its second position in the team championship. Körber and Allgäuer still rank fifth and sixth respectively in the FIA driver championship. For the second time this year, Hans-Joachim Stuck started as guest driver on a Team Allgäuer race truck at Autodromo di Santamonica in Misano. Building on 40 years of experience in car racing, Stuck finished all four races of the weekend at tenth or eleventh positions, outpacing several truck racing specialists.
