BRUSSELS, BELGIUM / BIRMINGHAM, UK – 18 December 2007 – WABCO, one of the world's leading providers of electronic braking, stability, suspension and transmission control systems for the heavy duty commercial vehicle industry, has been named “Commercial Vehicle Supplier of the Year 2007” by the Automotive Distribution Federation (ADF) for the second consecutive year. ADF cited WABCO’s “consistent performance” as a key element of the company’s nomination. ADF represents manufacturers, importers and independent wholesale distributors of automotive components in the UK. The ADF annual awards honor companies that have shown the highest quality service and focus on customer satisfaction. Quintin Cornforth, new president of the ADF, presented the trophy to WABCO during the ADF Dinner & Awards evening in Birmingham on December 6.
The award is based on intensive tests of the service quality provided by WABCO’s field sales force and internal sales- and technical-helpdesks. The testing was conducted through “mystery shoppers”. In addition, ADF interviewed a number of the nominees’ customers during the selection process. “To win this prestigious award for two consecutive years is a great honor as it shows that we manage to maintain a consistent level of service quality over time,” said Chris Chapman, UK Aftermarket Manager, who accepted the award on behalf of WABCO. “This award is a great accolade because both mystery shoppers and our real customers voted, and it will drive us to even greater efforts to constantly improve customer service and satisfaction. “This award is an excellent close to a successful year for WABCO’s Aftermarket business”, said Jean-François Barth, WABCO vice president Aftermarket. “Our UK team’s strong commitment to customer satisfaction is proving a strong differentiator when it comes to increasing our presence in the very competitive UK market.” Please find more information on WABCO products and services on the website: www.wabco-auto.com Editors Notes WABCO is one of the world's leading providers of electronic braking, stability, suspension and transmission control systems for heavy duty commercial vehicles.
