The Air Disc Brake MAXX 22 comes with a new designed monobloc caliper and a new reinforced single-piston clamping unit, which enables high brake torques of over 30.000 Nm. It is designed to fit all common axles for heavy truck and bus applications.
The WABCO patented single-piston technology of the PAN range, which offers the safety of an established technology, was also integrated in the MAXX 22.
MAXX 22 has an impressively low weight of only 39kg including pads, which protects the chassis and reduces the fuel consumption, substantially enhancing transportation effectiveness and road safety. By using a continuous wear sensor (CWS), which WABCO offers with this brake, service costs are reduced even further. This sensor can be exchanged without disassembly of the brake and any additional set-up work. It measures the wear of both pads and the disc continuously.
