Developed from WABCO’s market-leading 1st generation E-APU, FuelGuard is a new generation electronic air processing unit connected via CAN bus to the vehicle’s electronic architecture. FuelGuard incorporates air drying, multiple circuit protection, pressure sensing and control functions for Power Reduction, clutch and electrically driven compressors.
Its modular design, small size, low weight and a rich set of options, deliver versatility that makes it the right choice for a wide range of commercial vehicle types and applications.

Advanced electronic control, together with FuelGuardTM unloader system, enable the use of nearly all engine overrun phases to switch the compressor into pumping mode
Discharge line kept pressurized during the off-load phase which allows the full potential of small overrun phases to be utilized
