With the Air System Protector, WABCO brought the first air dryer cartridge with integrated coalescing function to the automotive market in 2003 that separates humidity as well as fine oil aerosols to protect the vehicle’s air system.
Water and harmful oil products are a risk for the air system and can cause costly vehicle downtime. By using space-saving coalescing fleece filters at the bottom of the cartridge, WABCO coalescing cartridges provide excellent oil separation performance without compromising the cartridge’s drying performance.
Using this technology means that up to 99.95% of all particles reaching the cartridge can be separated. Therewith vehicle downtime as a result of corrosion in the air system or sticky oil deposits in valves of the air system can be minimized.
