Most commercial vehicle chassis are electronically controlled. WABCO’s Electronically Controlled Air Suspension system (ECAS) has been a major driver of this trend and is now widely used. WABCO has further developed ECAS to integrate an electronic shock absorber control system (ESAC). This systems integration allows existing sensors, and thus existing information, to be used.
Features
Modular system for:
Load monitoring
Automatic pre-set level regulation, parallel to the road surface, including uneven loads
Automatic traction control
CAN databus compatible
Benefits
Constant level at the loading bay
Traction control for maximum utilization of permissible axle loads
Rapid lifting and lowering easy to operate due to RCU (Remote Control Unit)
Fuel reduction: temporary dynamic suspension travel has no influence on the ride height control => this leads to less air consumption and reduces compressor run time
Automatic control of different height levels
Application
Trucks and buses with:
Air suspension on the rear axles
Air suspension on the rear and lifting axles
Air suspension on the front, rear and lifting axles
