Joe's BlogBig Questions, Small Answers
In Amsterdam, the topic of conversation was whether or not we will see more steady fuel prices in the near future. An initial trend arising from recent disruption in the Middle East is a surge in the sale of small cars. And this trend is likely to continue. Perhaps small cars are the answer to the ‘big questions’ about fuel prices, but what does that mean for the remanufacturing business? From a business standpoint, I like small car technologies. Typically they are turbocharged, have electric power steering and run on diesel engines - all of which creates many new remanufacturing opportunities for businesses like WABCO Reman Solutions. As small cars typically fit into the ‘green’ category of vehicles, this trend is likely to intensify as new emission requirements come into force. Further good news for the reman market! Today, as the economy remains uncertain, people are looking for more efficient, high-fuel mileage, ‘green’ vehicles. Small cars seem to be an answer - and open yet another door for the industry to explore the widespread benefits of remanufacturing.
