Q: Is it possible to change vehicle parameters with the generic software?A: The generic diagnostic software does not allow parameter setting.
Q: Why are system schematics and wire diagrams not included in the package?
A: It is planned to include these in one of the next upgrades.
Q: In the Generic SW version trailer manufacturer names currently appear, will this change?
A: It will be changed to system suppliers, as Knorr, Haldex etc
Q: Is a pneumatic test included ?
A: This will be included in a hardware extension and software upgrade.
Q: Do I have to upgrade my WABCO software subscription?
A: No, the Generic SW upgrade package is included as part of the WABCO Expert Diagnostics solution package.
Q: Where can I get the software subscription & update for generic systems software?
A: This is available from the WABCO Software download section.
Q: What WABCO Software package is included if I purchase the complete tool - is it for trailer, truck and bus?
A: The full package includes software for all three, but if you already have the software it can be excluded from your package.
Q: Is training available for Expert Diagnostics?
A: This is included in the purchase price of the package as well as an outstanding service and support, a WABCO hotline and comprehensive on-site services. Additional training can be booked through the WABCO Training Center
Q: How long is the delivery lead time for the devices in the starting phase?
A: For specific languages and countries WABCO Expert Diagnostic Packages are made to order and delivery lead time is approximately 16 weeks. Standard packages are in English and German.
Q: Will the three packages be delivered ready for running, without any Windows, wifi or Bluetooth settings required by us?
A: The W-LAN extension is simply a card that you plug into a port. For software and operating set-up a start-up guide will lead you through the procedure.
At this time we do not offer a Bluetooth version.
Q: How do I get new cables after upgrades to the software?
A: Cables are available from WABCO just like any other part by ordering. Customer will get the information through newsletters regarding software upgrades.
With the new packages customers will receive all the cables needed.
Q: How much is the Generic Update for the following year?
A: The Expert Diagnostics tool requires an annual renewal of the Smart Card. The current price of 700 Euro is valid for all Generic updates: Compact , Advanced and Premium. In addition the update costs for WABCO software have to be considered.
