India: Sundaram-Clayton Limited 
Sundaram-Clayton Limited (SCL) is WABCO’s joint venture located in Chennai, (formerly Madras) the capital of Tamil Nadu province, on the east coast of India. The joint venture was formed in 1962 between leading Indian automotive component manufacturer TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons Limited (TVS) and Clayton Dewandre Holdings Limited. In 1977, WABCO acquired Clayton Dewandre and today owns more than 39 percent of Sundaram-Clayton; 20 percent of the company has been listed on the National, Bombay and Madras stock exchanges since 1983. Sundaram-Clayton develops and manufactures air brake components and systems and aluminum castings, is a leading supplier to the national original equipment (OE) manufacturers and aftermarket, and also serves some export markets. The company currently employs more than 1200 employees, including approximately 50 development engineers. In June 2005 the joint venture inaugurated a new US $13 million /Rs. 58 Cr/€11 million, 27,500 sq meter (300,000 sq. ft) air brake components production facility in Chennai. Both the Chennai braking and die-cast facilities are certified to ISO 9001 (quality); the die-cast facility is also certified to ISO 14001 (environmental) standards. The nearby Sundaram-Clayton test track was built in 2000 to standards certified by MIRA, the independent UK automotive testing organization and TUV, the independent German safety and quality accreditation group. Sundaram-Clayton was the first company in India to earn two prestigious quality awards: The Deming Prize in 1998 and the Japan Quality Medal in 2002. www.sundaram-clayton.com 

South Africa: WABCO Automotive SA
WABCO Automotive SA operates in South Africa as a joint venture with the Sturrock & Robson Group, a South African owned Industrial Management Group. The Sturrock & Robson Group manufacturers and distributes technical products in the automotive market as well as other industrial sectors. WABCO’s products are distributed through a network of aftermarket distributors, OE and trailer builder manufacturers and OE spare divisions. WABCO Automotive SA has served the South African commercial vehicle market for over 35 years with local technical applications, expertise and training. USA: Meritor WABCO 
In North America, WABCO markets advanced braking and suspension systems and controls for commercial vehicles through Meritor WABCO, its 50 percent-owned joint venture formed in 1990 with Arvin Meritor Automotive Inc. From headquarters in Troy, Michigan, Meritor WABCO serves American, Canadian and Mexican customers with sales, marketing, application engineering and customer support. Regional offices and a network of field sales and service professionals are strategically located throughout North America to provide personalized and efficient service. USA: WABCO Compressor Manufacturing Company (Charleston, South Carolina, USA) 
In 1996, WABCO’s parent company WABCO Holdings Inc., entered into a joint venture with Cummins Inc. to provide commercial vehicle manufacturers in North America with high performance compressors for diesel engine applications. Today, the WABCO Compressor Manufacturing Company, based in Charleston, South Carolina, on the southeastern coast of the USA employs more than 100 people.
